Product Information
Graphite Filler Ring
The source describes graphite sealing filler as a composite of PTFE and graphite fibers, combining heat resistance, corrosion resistance and self-lubrication. PTFE contributes chemical stability and flexibility, while graphite improves heat resistance and lubrication.
Braided Graphite Packing
Graphite yarn and metal wire are braided in plaited, layered, sandwich or through-core constructions.
Listed temperature range: -100°C to 650°C. Pressure: 200–400 bar.
Used for dynamic pump and valve seals in petroleum and chemical processing.
Graphite Filler Rings
Graphite tape and metal wire mesh are wound and molded, with lubricant surface treatment.
Listed temperature: -200°C to 800°C. Pressure: Up to 100 MPa.
Used for static seals in steam and hot-oil service. Closed and split versions are used in high-pressure valves and plunger pumps.
Flexible Graphite Packing
Flexible graphite tape or braided packing is molded into rings for recovery and chemical stability.
Listed temperature: -200°C to 800°C. Pressure: 32 MPa.
Applications include nuclear power and aerospace.
Applications
Chemical processing and petroleum: Corrosive, hot, high-pressure fluids.
Food and pharmaceuticals: Contamination control and hygienic sealing.
Energy and power: Steam and heat-exchange systems.
Precautions
Avoid direct exposure to strong acids and alkalis to extend service life.
Fit the material into the sealing chamber to create a labyrinth effect that restricts leakage.
